Androits

History

Androits was founded in April 2008 when it incorporated Tri Fase Solutions. Tri Fase Solutions was founded in July 2006 for which I did some part-time freelance jobs while being a professor at a technical university in Antwerp. One of Androits’ main philosophies is something I brought along from my work as a professor. I used to tell all my students the following: writing software is not only about meeting functional requirements, you need to guard the quality of the code that you publish. Their grades depended most on the quality of the code, rather than the quantity of code they could produce. It’s this educational idea that inspired me to use this point of view as base for our development process.

Philosophy

Developing quality solutions is not about making software that’s operational and fits the requirements. It’s all about code quality, patterns and clear designs. In our development process we spend a lot of energy on code review, refactoring and continuous design to ensure the quality and continuity of our solutions. We also believe that test-driven design and development are in our as well as the customer’s best interest.

Specialisation

Androits offers Microsoft®.Net solutions and consultancy using the latest technologies available. We have experience in different areas, ranging from web applications using Microsoft ASP.Net to rich client applications. We recently started down the path of cloud computing using the Windows Azure platform. Although the technology is still rather new, we want to be a part of the software as a service movement and we are convinced that the Windows Azure platform will open up a whole new world of software solutions and a new way of looking at software in general.
